IPL Photofacial

How It Works

The intense Pulsed Light, facial also known as the Photofacial, is a treatment delivering pulses of high intensity broad-spectrum light to give the skin a youthful and radiant appearance.

The light energy penetrates just below the skin’s surface, targeting either the melanin that makes up brown spots or the blood vessels that create broken capillaries all while destroying acne causing bacteria found within the layers of the skin therefore reducing oil production.

Targetable Areas

This treatment can be done on the regions that show the most signs of aging such as the face, the neck, the chest and the hands. Multiple packages available.

Another benefit of the Photofacial is collagen induction. IPL therapy activates the body natural healing process that in turn allows it to stimulate the production of collagen. After the skin’s collagen and elastin are boosted, you are left with an even and glowing skin tone. This is the ideal treatment for individuals wanting to treat: sun spots, hyperpigmentation, Rosacea, broken capillaries, freckles, skin texture and acne.

Cost of Treatment

Prices vary according to the areas treated and number of sessions required. Every treatment plan is unique & tailored to your needs to help you achieve your best self. SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

Pre-Treatment Tip

To avoid irritation and sensitivity, we ask that you to avoid waxing, including other hair removal services (6 weeks for laser on the face), for at least 3 days prior to, and 3-5 days following, the treatment. Any photosensitizing medications need to be stopped at least one month prior to your first appointment. Avoid applying any retinols or acids 2 days before and 2 days after your treatment.

Post-Treatment Care

After your initial session, you may notice your initial hyperpigmentation spots darken (which is completely normal) and they will eventually peel off your skin! Although this treatment does not require any downtime, we do recommend cleaning your makeup brushes prior to the first post-treatment application and applying a SPF of 30 or above. Avoid applying any retinols or acids 2 days before and 2 days after your treatment.

Maintenance

Results generally start showing a week after the first session and progressively develop with each treatment, done every 2 to 4 weeks. Your technician will help you devise a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
